Jim Knott has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of heavy manufacturing, including steel wire production, capital equipment manufacturing, sales, marketing, business development, and e-commerce. A multifaceted senior executive, he possesses a unique blend of financial, technical, and operational expertise.
Jim devotes a significant amount of time to acquisitions, divestitures, and project finance matters for U.S. and overseas-based clients. He advises public and privately held companies in a variety of industries and at all stages of growth.

Jim brings over twenty years of technology industry, sales, marketing, product development, and startup management experience to Knott & Company. In the startup realm, Jim has consulted with early stage companies providing management, technology, and product strategy guidance. Jim was VP Sales and Business Development at 4SURE.com, which specialized in offering e-commerce technology products, and Redemtech, Inc., concentrating on corporate technology acquisitions, evaluation and dispositions. Jim served as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer to Neato, Inc. and was instrumental in executing their exit strategy by acquisition of the company by the Fortune 500 corporation, Fellows Manufacturing.
In public companies, Jim held the Business Unit Executive position with IBM Corporation where he concentrated on technology resale, licensing, and internet commerce applications. He was responsible for re-launching IBM's peripheral product sales division into the retail channel. In addition, Jim analyzed and executed IBM's strategic course for retail made-to-order manufacturing, sales, and operations of its computers and laptop products. Earlier in his career, Jim held Eastern US, Canada, and S. American responsibilities for sales and marketing of products for Creative Labs Corporation. He had similar responsibilities for Sony Corporation of America.

Ida Pardo has over twenty-five years of operations management and consulting experience working with for-profit and non-profit international trade markets. Ida has consulted for and worked closely with several prominent international trade organizations and business councils in greater Boston, Washington, DC, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Caracas, Venezuela and Santiago, Chile. She has organized and managed over 200 professional development programs and special events and has hosted more than 17,000 attendees in her career.
In the capacity as Executive Director and as a Consultant Ida has provided advisory services to international business councils, trade organizations, NGO’s and government organizations. Ida designed and developed internal policies, procedures and processes for the operation and management of various international business councils. In addition, she has created and designed administrative and public websites, as well as, multiple membership services and benefit programs.
Throughout her career Ida has also performed search and selection consultancy services working with executive search groups across a variety of industries. Ida assists clients in accurately assessing their organizational needs as well as defining the leadership talent required to meet their strategic goals. Ida has successfully recruited and placed senior executives and middle managers in both the for-profit and non-profit markets.

Prior to starting her consulting practice, she spent 15 years in management as a vice-president at two multi-billion dollar banks. Her areas of responsibility have included strategic planning, information technology management and administration, and organizational development and training. Now, combining her business experience with several years of academic research in new business creation, change management, and executive decision-making at Harvard Business School, Lynne supports clients in their efforts to improve their personal and organizational performance.
Lynne graduated from Mount Holyoke College, and holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and a doctorate in creativity from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Lynne is certified to administer the Center for Creative Leadership's KEYS Assessment of the Climate for Creativity, she is also qualified to provide Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® programs. Lynne is also the author of Breakthrough Creativity: Achieving Top Performance Using the Eight Creative Talents, as well as several articles and Harvard Business School cases.
