Fayetteville, TN (August 5, 2003) - Knott & Company, Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in the steel and metal industries, today announced the final sale of the manufacturing assets of R&B Wire and Steel Manufacturing, LLC. All sales will take place through a private sale closing on October 16, 2003.
A manufacturer of customer parts racks and accessories for the automotive markets, R&B Wire and Steel operated from manufacturing and storage facilities of approximately 80,000 square feet in Fayetteville, Tennessee, USA. At its peak, the plant had sales of about US$7 million per year.
The company cuts, welds, and converts steel bars and wire into parts racks, baskets, clips, and braces. The products are used throughout the automotive assembly process, from staging components such as doors and hoods, to transporting vehicle frames through paint prep and application.
Installed assets include 7 punch presses, 53 welders, 5 milling machines, and 8 plate shears and press brakes. The company also has a plasma cutting system and a wide selection of paint and finishing equipment, lift trucks, and vehicles. Finished goods, work in process, and inventory are also for sale.
R&B Wire and Steel has engaged Knott & Company to conduct a private sale of their machinery and equipment. All bids must be received by October 16, 2003.
